Rihanna has launched her first fragrance in collaboration with Parlux Fragrances – and it’s simultaneous with her latest makeup collection by MAC.

The scent is called Rogue by Rihanna – and the bottle that was created for the Grammy-award winning pop star is chic, but unusual.

The rectangular shaped bottle is clear – and has six spikes inverted at its base. The collar is collar is gold, and the cap is decorated with a pattern inspired by a stingray.

Rihanna commented: “People are always changing and evolving, and with Rogue, my new fragrance, I wanted to switch it up to reflect who I am today. It’s a personal fragrance that’s more self-aware. It’s Rogue, it’s me.”

The songstress continued, “This scent embodies demure feminine qualities yet carries into an audacious new moment. I made it for all women, for every mood, because we all want to project our true selves.”

Donald Loftus, president, Parlux, said:

“We are thrilled to be introducing Rihanna’s Rogue to the world this fall. Every element of the fragrance reflects Rihanna’s dynamic spirit and relentless passion and strength. It is an amazing fragrance befitting this amazing talent.”

What does it smell like?

The juice opens with lemon blossom and cyclamen, bergamot and pink peppercorn; its mid notes are jasmine, rose and muget mixed with juicy plum and suede; at its base are sandalwood, patchouli, golden amber, vanilla and musk.

Perfumer Marypierre Julien explained, “I was inspired to create a fragrance that is as spontaneous and direct as Rihanna is and emulates her bold approach to her life. She is not afraid to reveal her mischievous side, showing off her true powerful femininity.”
